Equipment List
Mine's a Pint!

Mine's a Pint!

This is a recommended personal equipment list but it is not mandatory.

We have no objection to people doing low level walks in summer in trainers so long as they have a good tread and you don’t mind them getting wet and muddy. The weather in the Lake District can change without warning and this list should be considered as a minimum requirement for changable conditions.

  • Rucksack
  • Walking boots or strong shoes
  • Waterproof jacket and overtrousers
  • Spare sweater/fleece
  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Packed lunch and drink (unless a pub stop is planned)

We reserve the right to refuse to guide you if we feel that you are not not suitably equipped, shod or attired for the prevailing conditions and bear in mind, in the Lake District, these can change very quickly.

If the forecast is for hot weather the following items should also be considered.

Sunhat and sunblock.
