A long time favourite with many walkers, the Dales Way is a reasonably gentle ramble through the Yorkshire Dales and across into southern Lakeland. Passing through magnificent limestone scenery en-route, the Dales Way is an ideal introduction to medium distance walking.

Starting in the old mill town of Ilkley, we follow Swaledale northwest before crossing over into Dentdale and then on towards Sedbergh.

The route then tends westwards, across the river Lune before joining the valley of the river Kent at Burneside. A final short upland stretch takes you to the finish where you can dip your toes in the soothing waters of Lake Windermere.

The walking is mostly along the river valleys with only a couple of excursions to higher ground.

To make life a little simpler, the accommodation for this tour is based on two hotels, one in Yorkshire, the other in the Lakes and minibus or taxi transfers at the end of each day.

Dates for this walk will be announced shortly, in the meantime please contact us if you are interested.
